This course contains 5 lessons that describe each part of a typical day of a man. Follow Jeff as he gets up in the morning, gets ready for work, drives to work, works in the office, goes to the market, returns home, does household chores, and goes to bed.
In each lesson, you’ll learn common and useful vocabulary for everyday things and situations.

Lessons Included
Lesson 1 – At My Desk
Lucy arrives at work and gets started on her day. Improve your English by learn common business terms such as cubicle, to boot up, agenda, inter-office, to start in, conference call, and head office. Lucy also takes a break for lunch with her co-workers. Follow her out to lunch and learn daily vocabulary related to eating at a restaurant, including hostess, entrees, appetizers, and more.
Lesson 2 – Bank & Market
Lucy leaves work at 5:00 PM and decides to go to the bank before it closes. Learn how we describe basic actions in a bank in English, including terms such as to stand in line, deposit, paycheck, your turn, teller, account, and receipt. Then Lucy heads to the grocery store, where she buys some food for dinner and introduces you to some vocabulary related to shopping.
Lesson 3 – Baking and Cooking
Now at home, Lucy sits down to eat her dinner, using some common items at the table, including a napkin and place mats. When she finishes, she decides to bake some cookies - sounds delicious! Learn how to use different baking and cooking vocabulary in English, including preheat, oven, ready-made, cookie sheet, aluminum foil, shape, dough, oven mitts, and Tupperware container.
Lesson 4 – Cleaning House
Having finished her dinner, Lucy has some energy now to do some house cleaning. Learn how to talk about vocabulary related to this topic, including rag, dusting, wipe, filthy, to pick up, to put away, mopping, and scrubbing. Next Lucy relaxes by watching the television and talking to her best friend on the phone. Learn terms such as to flip through the channels, remote, and to thumb through.
Lesson 5 – Going to Sleep
It’s time for bed for Lucy, but first she has to get ready in the bathroom. Learn how to talk about a woman’s washing up routine at bedtime, including terms such as cleanser, towel, moisturizer, comb, to tie back, and more. You’ll also discover how to use vocabulary such as to undress, hamper, pajamas, covers, alarm, ritual, and fast asleep in this final episode of the series!
